A bucket width adjusting device for heavy equipment is provided to regulate an outward or inward gap of a bucket formed by the abrasion of a bucket or an arm by installing a shim to the outside or inside of a bucket, and to improve the durability of components by keeping a connection of a bucket and an arm at the fixed torque by regulating a gap between a bucket and an arm. A bucket width adjusting device for heavy equipment includes a bush(14) coupled to the outside of a fixing pin(13) fixing a bucket(9) to the front of an arm(8) to be movable and supporting the bucket, a disk type cover(16) fixed to the outside of a lug(9a) by a bolt(15) fastened to the bush via the lug of the bucket, and a shim(17) separated between the bucket and the cover and attached between the inside of the lug of the bucket and the bush to regulate a gap between the bucket and the arm when the side of the bucket or the arm is worn away.
