DIGITAL BROADCASTING RECEIVER AND DIGITAL BROADCASTING RECEPTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a required time until a program can be viewed after switching a channel when receiving a digital broadcasting.

SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver 1 includes an identification information storage means for storing a packet ID corresponding to a TS packet on each channel included in a transport stream and a storage control means for acquiring the packet ID on each channel from the transport stream and causing the identification information storage means to store it. Moreover, the digital broadcasting receiver 1 includes control means for performing a control so as to output an image or a voice by using a packet ID stored in the identification information storage means when a channel is switched and the channel after switching is the same as the channel on which the packet ID is stored in the identification information storage means.
