摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the acceleration performance of a vehicle while securing purification performance for exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: An engine and a motor generator are provided to the hybrid vehicle, and lean NOx trap for trapping NOx in oxidization atmosphere is provided to an engine exhaust system. When the engine stops due to an idling stop control, since fuel injection is suspended, the trap performance of the lean NOx trap declines. When the engine restarts as an accelerator is stepped on, the trap performance of the lean NOx trap is recovered by limiting sucked air quantity (Step S6) and controlling air/fuel ratio to a richer side, thus securing the purification performance for the exhaust gas. When the sucked air quantity is limited for recovering the trap performance, the vehicle can be accelerated without bothering a driver by assit-driving the motor generator (Step S7) even if the accelerator is stepped on just after starting the engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
