PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent early deterioration of a heater with respect to a cooling storage comprising an evaporating pan for storing and evaporating inside drainage such as defrosted water, on a side face such as a back face of a storage body. SOLUTION: The evaporating pan 41 is disposed in an attitude inclined left up, a lateral portion 62 of an evaporation heater 60 is disposed along an inclined bottom surface, and a thermostat 73 is disposed at a tip side of the lateral portion 62 positioned at a higher position side of the bottom surface. A position where the stored water dries up is gradually shifted from left to right of the bottom portion, when the evaporation is promoted by inclining the evaporating pan 41. The similar result can be obtained when an installation position is inclined or has small difference in level, and the refrigerator is necessarily installed in an attitude inclined right up in some degree. As the evaporation heater 60 is switched off by detecting a temperature at a tip side of the lateral portion 62 of the evaporation heater 60 which is released from a state dipped in the storage water first, and heat generation is stopped in a state that the most part of lateral portion 62 is dipped in the defrosted water, so-called no-water heating can be minimized and early deterioration can be prevented.
