PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the tapping of the bottom of a deflector attachment recession of a nut, and to reduce processing cost and man-hours for assembling. SOLUTION: The ball screw has a ball circulating passage 10 for supplying a ball 8 to a ball returning passage 9 and returning the ball 8 from the ball returning passage 9 to a ball rolling passage 5. A part for picking up the ball 8 from the ball rolling passage 5 or a part for returning the ball 8 to the ball rolling passage 5 is provided with a middle deflector 13 for supplying the ball 8 to the ball returning passage 9 or returning the ball 8 to the ball rolling passage 5 through a connection passage 10 formed by combining at least two split members 14. A tapered female screw 15 laid across the two split members 14 is formed at a combination part of the two split members 14 constituting the middle deflector 13. After attaching the middle deflector 13 to the nut 3, a straight male screw 17 is inserted into the tapered female screw 15 so as to be extended, and the middle deflector 13 is pressure-contacted and fixed to the nut 3.
