PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a terminal being the other computer to which data have been transmitted from a data providing device being one computer easily process the data even when software for processing the data does not exist or is unsuitable. SOLUTION: The data providing device connected with a terminal for browsing the data by a communication line has a software storage means for storing the software and a data storage means for storing the data to be transmitted to the terminal. The data providing device acquires software environment information in the terminal from the terminal via the communication line, determines whether or not software for reproducing the data exists in the terminal from the acquired software environment information, when the software does not exist, reads the software from the software storage means and transmits the software to the terminal via the communication line independently or with the data read from the data storage means.
