PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology enabling optical transmittance to be changed in a sun visor for a vehicle. SOLUTION: This sun visor for a vehicle 101 is provided with a frame 163, an opening 164 in a prescribed shape formed by the frame 163, a cloth 165 stretched in the frame so as to shield the opening 164, and a tension adjusting mechanism 167 adjusting the tension of the cloth 165 without changing the occupied area of the cloth 165 in the opening 164 while maintaining the shape of the opening 164. The tension of the cloth 165 is adjusted by the tension adjusting mechanism 167, thereby changing the optical transmittance of the cloth 165. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
