PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a long fiber reinforced resin molded object containing reinforcing fibers used as a material without damaging the length thereof and improved in the opening properties of reinforcing fibers. SOLUTION: The long fiber-containing molten thermoplastic resin, which is obtained by plasticizing a long fiber-containing thermoplastic resin by an injection molding machine, is metered so that a metering stroke becomes 50% or above of the maximum injection stroke of the injection molding machine while rotating the screw in the injection molding machine and injected in a pair of mold cavities and solidified to manufacture the long fiber reinforced resin molded object. In this manufacturing method of the long fiber reinforced resin molded object, the number of rotations of the screw at the time of metering is changed over at an arbitrary place from a metering start position to a metering completion position and the number (r1) of rotations of the screw up to the changeover place from the metering start position is higher than the number (r2) of rotations of the screw up to the metering completion position from the changeover place.
