PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide workpiece holding device and workpiece machining method for machining a workpiece provided with a cylindrical boss part at a center of a disc part with high production efficiency. SOLUTION: "Boring of the boss part" is started by inserting a boring bar tool 41 into a hole 33 as shown in an arrow (1), while rotating an intermediate product 30. As a result of the boring of the boss part, the hole 33 is finished as shown in an imaginary line. An outer periphery of a cylinder part 34 and a front face of the disc part 31 are cut by a tool 43 provided with a throwaway tip 42. Thus, "outer periphery machining of the disc part" and "surface machining of the disc part" can be executed. By this invention, the "outer periphery machining of the disc part" and the "surface machining of the disc part" can be executed by a lathe. Idle time becomes only a time for replacing a cutting tool. As a result, the idle time can be minimized to improve production efficiency. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
