摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology enabling avoidance of fixation of an EGR valve while inhibiting fluctuation of EGR rate. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a low pressure EGR passage re-circulating exhaust gas on the turbine downstream side of a turbocharger to the compressor upstream side, a high pressure EGR passage re-circulating exhaust gas on the turbine upstream side to the compressor downstream side, a low pressure EGR valve provided in the low pressure EGR passage, a high pressure EGR valve provided in the high pressure EGR passage, a base opening determination means S102 of the low pressure EGR valve and the high pressure EGR valve, a means S106 judging risk of valve closure fixation of the high pressure EGR valve, fixation avoidance means S108, S117, S127 continuously opening and closing the high pressure EGR valve for a fixed period of time when it is judged that there is a risk of valve closure fixation of the high pressure EGR valve, and correction means S110, S111, S120, S121, S123, S128 correcting low pressure EGR gas quantity to cancel change of high pressure EGR gas quantity caused by fixation avoidance action. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
