PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a colored structural form exhibiting multiple structural colors, with spherical particles arranged regularly. SOLUTION: The method for producing the colored structural form comprises the following process: Using a solid material as the starting material comprising such a solid material(P) that a colored structure-forming thermoplastic resin(a) is dispersed with spherical particles(b) 5-800 nm in average size, whose particle size distribution's standard deviation is 20% or less of the average size and whose softening point is higher than that of the colored structure-forming resin(a) and the mixing weight ratio(a)/(b) is (1:0.01) to (1:10) and a second solid material(Q) differing in the mixing ratio(a)/(b) from the solid material(P), the solid material is rolled at a specific temperature.
