PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pitch trouble-preventing method for a paper-producing process, by which pitch troubles generated on a calender roll in the paper-producing process, especially a paper-making process, can efficiently be prevented. SOLUTION: This pitch trouble-preventing method comprises adding an inorganic aluminum compound to a pulp slurry, before subjected to stirring/mixing in a mixing chest, and then adding a polydiallyldimethylammonium salt having a mol.wt. of 20,000 to 200,000 to the pulp slurry, after subjected to the stirring/mixing in the mixing chest, in a pulp-preparing process in the paper-producing process.
