The device has a transponder detection device for detecting a radio key (16) provided with a transponder. An ignition pushbutton detects pressure against a contact surface (14) of the pushbutton and provides a signal for activation of the detection device when the pressure is detected, where the pushbutton is designed as plastic cap and provided with a fastening unit. The contact surface of the pushbutton is designed identically with a partial outer surface of the radio key.
