New fusion protein useful in the production of pharmaceutical-/diagnostic-composition to treat and/or diagnosis e.g. acute or chronic vascular disease

Fusion protein, exhibits a first polypeptide that specifically binds to a modified low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and a second polypeptide that mediates a dimerization process, is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a homodimer exhibiting the fusion protein; (2) a nucleic acid molecule, which codes for the fusion protein; (3) a pharmaceutical and/or diagnostic composition comprising the fusion protein, and/or the homodimer and/or the nucleic acid molecule, and possibly a pharmaceutically and/or diagnostically compatible substrate and other additives; (4) method for the diagnosis of acute or chronic vascular disease, atherosclerosis and atherosclerotic plaques, in a living organism, comprising: preparing the fusion protein and/or the homodimer; inserting the fusion protein and/or the homodimer into the living organism; and visualizing the specific assimilation of the fusion protein in the living organism using imaging procedures; and (5) the preparation of the fusion protein.
