An FRP hollow structure for a vehicle with an overlap structure and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reinforce coupling strength of the structure by forming the overlap structure between side surfaces of an upper cover and a lower cover. In a method for manufacturing an FRP hollow structure, an upper molding(300) having a shape corresponding to an upper cover(400) is prepared. A lower molding(100), which has protrusions(110), is formed to have a shape corresponding to a bottom surface of a lower cover(200). The upper cover(400) and the lower cover(200) are formed to have a predetermined thickness by coating multi-layers of FRP onto the upper and lower moldings(300,100). The upper molding(300) is covered onto an upper part of the lower molding(100) before the upper and lower covers(400,200) are cured. The FRP hollow structure is released from the moldings. |
