<p>An object of the present invention is a method of synthesis of light aldehyde by gaseous phase oxydehydrogenation of the corresponding alcohol at a temperature of between 500 and 700 °C in the presence of a silver metal catalyst, characterized in that the oxidation is performed using molecular oxygen in a reaction medium having, expressed in volume, an oxygen content such that the alcohol/O2 ratio is greater than 0.5, a nitrogen content of less than 60% such that the N2/O2 ratio is less than 4, and containing methane content of between 15 and 85% such that the alcohol/methane ratio is between 0.1 and 100.</p> |
