A plasma display panel is provided to obtain high definition by maintaining a width size of barrier toward a front substrate and extending a space of discharge cells. A rear substrate(10) and a front substrate(20) are disposed opposite to each other. A barrier rib(16) is disposed between the front and rear substrates in order to define discharge cells. An address electrode is extended in a first direction. A first and second electrodes(32) are extended in a second direction and are formed on the front substrate corresponding to the discharge cells. In the barrier rib, a width ratio of rear substrate to the front substrate is 1.4 to 2. In the discharge cells, a distance ratio of rear substrate to the front substrate is 0.65 to 0.86.
