<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the starting method of a fuel cell system shortening the starting time to power generation for energy saving without installing a PG burner, suppressing deterioration of a catalyst, and enhancing the life of the catalyst, and to provide the fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: The starting method of the fuel cell system is such that the prescribed amount of fuel is burned with a combustion means 27 at starting, a reformer 20 is controlled to the first prescribed temperature for conducting reforming reaction, a CO decreasing means 34 is heated to the second prescribed temperature conducting reducing reaction by operating heating means 50. 51, and after the CO decreasing means 34 became the second prescribed temperature, water is supplied to the reformer 20 with a water supply means 24, and after the prescribed time elapsed from the supply of water, fuel is supplied to the reformer 20 with a fuel supply means 22 for generating reformed gas, carbon monoxide contained in the reformed gas is decreased with the CO decreasing means 34, the reformed gas is supplied to a fuel cell 28, and unreacted gas exhausted from the fuel cell 28 is supplied to the combustion means 27 and burned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
