THERMOPLASTIC FILM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, POLARIZING PLATE, OPTICAL COMPENSATION FILM, ANTIREFLECTION FILM, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a thermoplastic film which inhibits the change of color generated when observed from the diagonal direction to the observation surface after the passage of a long time when used as an optical film of a liquid crystal display, and the generation of the thread-like surface irregularity which appears periodically in the width direction (TD) when film-made.

SOLUTION: When the thermoplastic film is film-made through a process which discharges a molten thermoplastic resin on a casting drum from a die in a sheet shape, the thickness reduction ratio while the thermoplastic resin discharged in the sheet shape from the die is cooled from Tg+40°C to Tg is made 1%-25%.
