PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive positioning device capable easily setting a permission position range. SOLUTION: The positioning device A comprises a positioning means 1 for receiving electric wave from a GPS satellite and positioning the current position A, a storing means 2 for storing positioning data positioned by the positioning means 1, and a connecting means 3 for allowing access to the storing means 2 from an external apparatus 4 by being connected to the external apparatus 4. The positioning device A can display, on the external apparatus 4, positioning data stored in the storing means 2. The positioning device A further comprises a comparing means for comparing a preset permission position range with the positioning data of the current position. When the comparing result of the comparing means shows that the positioned current position does not exist in the permission position range, the positioning device A inhibits the access from the external apparatus 4.
