PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide first and second differential mechanisms, and to downsize them in a rotation radius direction and in a rotation axis direction. SOLUTION: This differential device 1 is provided with the first and second differential mechanisms 5 and 7 arranged side by side in the rotation axis direction in a rotatably-supported center case 3, and they are connected so that the rotation of the center case 3 can be transmitted to the first and second differential mechanisms 5 and 7 in parallel with each other, or connected so that the rotation of the center case 3 transmitted to one of the first and second differential mechanisms 5 and 7 can be transmitted to a front case 31 from a second output gear 61.
