PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable sealing performance over a long period of time while suppressing the degradation of the sealing performance even if used in a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: This boot mounting structure comprises a shaft 9 extending from an inner ring 6 of a constant velocity universal joint 2, and a constant velocity universal joint boot 1 fixed to the shaft 9 by a fastening band 18. Two-strip peripheral protruded portions 23, 24 are formed on a boot mounting portion 22 of the shaft 9. Between a recessed groove 20 between the peripheral protruded portions 23, 24 and the inner peripheral face of a small diameter portion 11 of the boot 1, a ring-shaped seal member 30 is laid which has a smaller compression set amount than that of a booth material and elastic restoring force at the temperature of the boot mounting portion 22 during joint operation.
