PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet guide device for a sheet-fed printer capable of conveying a sheet stably and preventing the sheet from being damaged. SOLUTION: This sheet guide device is provided with at least one guide 35 arranged so as to extend in the direction of conveyance of a sheet 9 along a sheet conveyance path of a chain gripper 19 and having a space part 41 extending in the direction of conveyance on an inner side, an endless belt 37 having a traveling path along the sheet conveyance path including a part engaged with the space part 41 of the guide 35 and moving along it and moving peripherally at substantially equal speed to that of the sheet 9 in the same direction as that of the sheet 9, and a suction means 39 engaged with the space part 41. The endless belt 37 has a protruding part 53 having smaller width than that of a protrusion 10 onto a chain gripper 19 side from the guide 35 and is provided with a plurality of communicating holes 57 communicating with the space part 41 at an interval in the longitudinal direction on a guide face 55 opposing to the sheet 9 in the protruding part 53.
