PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap removing apparatus capable of reliably gripping and removing a cap 2 by opening/closing claws 12a even when the cap is not completely attached to a container 4, but obliquely fitted thereto. SOLUTION: A plurality of opening/closing claws 12a provided on a removing member 12 are closed, engagement parts 12aa at the lower ends thereof are engaged with a lower end of the cap 2 attached to a mouth part 4a of the container 4, and the cap 2 is removed from the container 4 by raising the opening/closing claws 12 while holding the container 2 by a holding member 10. A cap pressing member 14 is provided on center parts of the opening/closing claws 12a in an elevating/lowering manner, and before closing the opening/closing claws 12a, a top face of the cap 2 is pressed by the cap pressing member 14. Even an obliquely attached cap 2 can be completely attached to the mouth part 4a of the container 4, and the opening/closing claws 12a can be reliably engaged therewith. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
