PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing device of an outer ring rotating type capable of enhancing the working efficiency of mounting a brake disk on an outer ring member even when the number of projections of a flange for mounting a knuckle is different from the number of parts in which bolts for mounting the brake disk are inserted. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing device B for wheel comprises an inner ring member 2 in which a plurality of flange parts 1 mounted on a vehicle body side are radially formed on an outer circumferential part on one end side in the axial direction, and an outer ring member 5 which is rotatably arranged via a rolling element 3 with a brake disk 4 being mounted thereon. A pedal-shaped opening part 18 with its inner edge formed of curves including cutouts 17 of the number (n+1) extending outwardly in the radial direction where n denotes the number of the flange parts 1 of the inner ring member 2 is formed in the brake disk 4 so as not to be interfered with the flange parts 1 when mounting the brake disk 4 on the outer ring member 5 from one end side of the inner ring member 2.
