PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which can surely perform the fixing of a floor mat with a vehicle side structure, avoid damage to the floor mat and prevent the invasion of foreign matters to the vehicle side structure in detaching and attaching. SOLUTION: In the floor mat fixing structure, the floor mat where a carpet material composed of a fiber material is laminated and adhered on the surface of a backing material is laid down and fixed to the floor surface. The floor mat fixing structure is provided with a vehicle side cover member including a storage part for forming a mat receiving area of a floor surface height H from the floor surface, and a flange for forming a mat advancing area of a floor surface height h lower than the floor surface height H. The floor mat has a molding rim having a higher height T than the floor surface height h at the peripheral edge and a flat part of a height t corresponding to the floor height h between the molding rim and the end of the carpet material continuing to the backing material, and the molding rim is inserted in the mat receiving area formed by the vehicle side cover member.
