PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating oil-containing waste water, which can efficiently reduce concentrations of oil and suspended solid, and suppress the amount of consumed inorganic coagulant. SOLUTION: Before the oil-containing waste water is treated, a cationic dispersion (co)polymer is added concurrently or separately with the inorganic coagulant, and then the waste water is subjected to coagulating sedimentation treatment and dehydration treatment.
