PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily configured defoaming device using a circulating water that efficiently and definitely defoams foam generated in a water tank for a liquid whose foam is easily generated as in the treating water of a painting booth that recovers and treats painting mists. SOLUTION: A spraying spout that refluxes the circulating water in the water tank where a highly foaming treating water is stored is used as a nozzle that is directed to the water surface and almost vertically sprays the water, a reflecting plate formed of a sheet metal between an aperture and the water surface is provided by being slightly slanted, its upper end side is raised to be a side plate, and an upper plate that is disposed above the aperture is provided above the reflecting plate and is further formed integrally with the nozzle. For the reflection plates, side plates, and upper plates, each sheet metal is bent to form an almost sideward U-shaped one, and a plurality of the plates are suitably disposed along an edge of the water tank.
