PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering/concentration apparatus and a filtering/concentration method capable of reducing capacity of a tank storing filtrate provided on the upstream side of an air pump, and efficiently obtaining concentrated sludge of a high concentration. SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by discharging filtrate in the storing tank by a liquid pump during operation of the air pump. By measuring a pressure in the storing tank, the air pump and liquid pump are operated to keep the storage tank at a given pressure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
