PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient shape with a plurality of advantages of an agitator indispensable in a bio-toilet degrading excrements by microbial action. SOLUTION: The bio-toilet has a toilet bowl 2, a fermentation tank 3 provided below the toilet bowl 2 and degrading the dropped excrements 4, the agitator agitating the excrements 4 and fermentation medium 5 inside the fermentation tank 3, and a spiral screw blade 7, when normally rotated, carrying the excrements 4 and the fermentation medium 5 in one direction on a horizontal line and, in the inverse rotation, carrying them in the opposite direction, and the screw blade 7 has no center shaft on the inside.
