The device has a hinge (20) with a movable hinge part (30) that is fixed opposite to another hinge part (32) with two retaining brackets (34, 36) and an intermediate bracket (38), where the movable hinge unit is assigned to a door (14) i.e. rear revolving door, of a car e.g. Mercedes-Benz Vito, and is accessible from outside. The two retaining brackets enclose the two hinge parts in retaining regions (48, 50), respectively. The retaining brackets fit positively to the hinge parts in the retaining regions. The retaining brackets are connected with each other by the intermediate bracket.
