The invention relates to a vacuum cylinder (1) for a labeling apparatus, comprising a bottom support (2) and a plurality of spaced-apart supporting elements (4) whose longitudinal directions extend essentially perpendicular to the plane of the bottom support (2). The bottom support is provided with a hole for accommodating a shaft in a rotationally fixed manner while each supporting element (4) is removably connected to the bottom support by means of a first final section (4a). The bottom support is also provided with a plurality of recesses (7) which are disposed between the accommodating hole and the supporting elements (4) in the radial direction of the bottom support.
