The truss (1) has nodes (4) interconnected by three beams (3). The beams converge in the nodes and are formed axially symmetric to a main extending direction (5). A diameter of the beams in an imaginary cut along a plane is calculated using a preset formula, where the formula defines a catenoid. The catenoid is limited by a minimum surface. The plane is bounded from the main extending direction of the beams. An independent claim is also included for a three-dimensional truss.
