<p>An air conditioner is provided to reduce unnecessary power consumption required for cooling and heating by allowing a user to confirm air information in real time by operating at least one of a pop-up-window and a state display line of a liquid crystal panel. A method for controlling an air conditioner includes the steps of: supplying standby power to an air condition unit and a broadcast display unit(S400); displaying at least one of a pop-up-window and a state display line on any one portion of a liquid crystal panel of the broadcast display unit by the standby power; and displaying air information and operation information on at least one of the pop-up-window and the state display line when at least one of the air condition unit and the broadcast display unit is operated(S435).</p> |
