<p>A lighting apparatus is provided to reduce power consumption of the lighting apparatus by turning on/off a lamp by detecting a movement of a human body using an embedded sensor. A lighting apparatus includes a lamp(200) and a cover(100). An MMSM(300) is embedded in the cover. The MMSM(Microwave Motion-Sensor Module) controls on/off states of the lamp by detecting an existence of a human body using an electromagnetic signal within a microwave band. The lamp is an incandescent lamp or a halogen lamp. The lamp is directly powered by the MMSM. An electric ballast for controlling the fluorescent lamp according to an output from the MMSM is arranged between the MMSM and a fluorescent lamp.</p> |
