An anti-shake apparatus is provided to sense less vibration impact because sensitivity of an anti-shake operation is set to low in comparison to an idle state, thereby accurately performing the anti-shake operation even when a photographing device is mounted on a tripod. Angular velocity sensors(26a,26b) detect angular velocity. A controller(21) controls the angular velocity sensors and performs an anti-shake operation based on an output signal from the angular velocity sensor. Sensitivity of the anti-shake operation is set to low when it is determined that a photographing apparatus is fixed to a fixing apparatus in comparison to when it is determined that the photographing apparatus is not fixed to the fixing apparatus.
