PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently acquire position information even when the position information is acquired from a moving body such as a mobile and a vehicle by polling. SOLUTION: A position information management server 10 includes a polling unit 11 which periodically polls to a plurality of moving bodies each having a function of transmitting position information, a positioning history DB 12 which stores position information acquired by the polling unit 11 for each moving body, and a group specifying unit 15 which specifies a plurality of moving bodies belonging to the same group based upon the position information by the moving bodies stored in the positioning history DB 12. The polling unit 11 acquires position information by polling to only one moving body among the plurality of moving bodies specified by the group specifying unit 15, and updates the respective pieces of position information, stored in the positioning history DB 12 corresponding to the plurality of moving bodies specified by the group specifying unit 15, based upon the position information acquired from the one moving body.
