<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device or a polarizing plate with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, in each of which an optical compensation film is used which is obtained by forming an alignment layer and a liquid crystal compound-coated layer in this order on a transparent support consisting of a cellulose-based resin and the water resistance of which is enhanced by preventing delamination and a layer break under a moist and hot condition even when the optical compensation film comprises a low water resistance layer. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is manufactured by sticking a transparent protective film 7 to one surface of a polarizer 1 and sticking the optical compensation film 2, which is obtained by forming the oriented film 4 and the liquid crystal compound-coated layer 5 in this order on the transparent support 3 consisting of the cellulose-based resin, to the other surface of the polarizer on the side of the transparent support 3 to form the polarizing plate 10 having 160-180 μm thickness, arranging a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 9 on the side of the liquid crystal compound-coated layer 5, and sticking the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-arranged polarizing plate to a glass substrate 17 of a liquid crystal cell 15. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 9 has 10 N/25 mm sticky power when exfoliated from glass at 180° angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
