PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a plasma display panel capable of displaying a high quality image with light weight by preventing warping of the substrate when forming a panel component by vacuum deposition method using a high strain point thin glass substrate. SOLUTION: A high strain point thin glass substrate 25 is used as substrates 1, 2 and the high strain point thin glass substrate is supported by substrate support tools 22, 23 at its periphery and the surface of the high strain point thin glass substrate is supported in horizontal direction. An auxiliary substrate 26 having the same plane shape as the high strain point glass substrate is contacted and mounted on the upper side of the glass substrate supported horizontally and, in that state, a panel component is formed by vacuum deposition method on the lower face side of the glass substrate.
