摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a phosphor layer for a fluorescent lamp, capable of drying the inner surface of a bulb for the fluorescent bulb in a short time by using a small number of processes and reducing unevenness of the surface of the phosphor layer, and also capable of collecting the solvent of a coating liquid volatilized in the inside of the bulb to reduce the volatilized solvent flowing out to the open air. SOLUTION: This method is to form a phosphor layer 4 on the inner surface of a bulb B for the fluorescent lamp. After applying the coating liquid C containing a phosphor on the inner surface of the bulb B, a drying tool 1 having an inlet 2 is inserted in the inside of the opening O of the bulb B. Either one of the method of drying the coating liquid C applied on the inner surface of the bulb B while sucking exhaust gas containing volatilized vapor in the inside of the bulb B from the inlet 2, or the method of drying the coating liquid C applied on the inner surface of the bulb B while letting dry gas D flow along the inner surface of the bulb B, with the inlet 2 at least positioned at the back side deeper than the center of the bulb B, is used.
