PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inflow of air into a fan chamber from the external through an opening and a clearance excluding a prescribed suction opening in a constitution where a motor for a fan is disposed outside of a fan chamber. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 comprising the fan 3 disposed inside of the fan chamber 12 defined and formed in a housing 11, and the motor 6 for the fan disposed outside of the fan chamber 12 and driving the fan 3, further comprises a casing 7 defining and forming a belt chamber 16 receiving a V-belt 63 wound between a fan-side pulley 32 and a motor-side pulley 62 by being fitted to an opening 17 of a left side plate 11c of the housing 11, in adjacent to the fan chamber 12. The casing 7 has flanges 713 kept into contact with an opening edge portion of the opening 17 from an outer part of the housing 11.
