摘要 <p>[PROBLEMS] To provide an apparatus for identifying an RNA molecule in a minute amount, in particular, identifying an RNA molecule on a genomic sequence in silico based on the RNA molecular weight data thereof; a method therefor and so on. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An apparatus for searching for an RNA molecule whereby an arbitrary RNA molecule containing at least one subject RNA fragment is marked and identified on an arbitrary genomic sequence, comprising: a memory unit (10) in which data relating to an arbitrary genomic sequence of an arbitrary organism species and the cleavage mechanism(s) of a DNase or an RNase capable of cleaving the sequence or both thereof are stored; an input unit (20) by which at least one subject RNA fragment cleavable with a degrading enzyme similar to the degrading enzymes as described above is measured and the molecular weight of the subject RNA fragment thus obtained is loaded; and a computing unit (30) by which the molecular weight of at least one subject RNA fragment thus loaded is checked against the sequential data and the cleavage mechanism data stored in the memory unit (10) and thus the candidate region for the appearance of the subject RNA fragment on the sequence in the memory unit (10) is computed.</p>
