PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communications apparatus capable of accurately obtaining received signals, even when the level of the received signal is larger. SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus for receiving a wireless signal from a receiving antenna section 31 for obtaining a received signal includes a gain adjustment section 32 for adjusting the gain of the received wireless signal to output the received signal; and a control section 5 for adjusting the attenuation of the received signal outputted from the gain adjustment section 32, depending on the receiving state of the received signal. The gain adjustment section 32 includes an amplifying section for amplifying the received wireless signal and an attenuator for attenuating the received wireless signal; and switching sections for selecting the amplifier section or the attenuator; and the control section 5 instructs the switching sections to select the attenuator, when the attenuation of the received signal is desired to be increased.
