PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation load of configuration information management and maintain data accuracy. SOLUTION: A system configuration management method 101 has a CI table 41 which stores a plurality of configuration elements existing in a prescribed system; a relational model storage part 61 which stores relational models that are defined for every type of configuration element existing in the system and indicates relations between the configuration elements related to the type and others for every type; and an association table 51 in which each of the plurality of configuration elements stored in the CI table 41 is linked to any relational models stored in the relational model storage part 61. By referring to the CI table 41, the plurality of relational models stored in the relational model storage part 61, and the correspondence table 51, a relevant information generator 7 generates relation information which can specify each of the plurality of configuration elements existing in the system and indicates relations between each of the configuration elements and others.
