PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful polyester condensate using glycerine useful as a recyclable source for a material by a simple method by solving a problem that although a manufacturing method for a glyceric acid alkali salt using glycerin as a material is publicly known, a method for further making the glyceric acids to polyester has a problem of a by-product salt and cannot be industrially and easily performed, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the method, the glycerite is manufactured by using glycerine and a primary alcohol as materials and performing oxygen oxidation (oxidative esterification) in the presence of a catalyst in which a carrier is carried with a metal. The polyester condensate obtained by polycondensing the thus obtained glycerite and/or the glyceric acids obtained from it, and its manufacturing method are provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
