PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a work of attaching a cushion member upon assembling a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The display device has a display panel, a frame member having a face opposing to the display screen of the display panel outside the display region of the display panel, a cushion member disposed between the display screen of the display panel and the face of the frame member opposing to the display screen of the display panel. The frame member has an opening or a notch that connects the face opposing to the display screen of the display panel and the back face of the face opposing to the display screen. The cushion member has a fixing portion that passes through the opening or the notch of the frame member and protrudes to the rear face of the face of the frame member opposing to the display screen.
