GAS APPLIANCE MONITORING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas appliance monitoring apparatus which easily replaces comparison reference data for determining appliances according to increase and decrease in the number of gas appliances used at home. SOLUTION: A gas meter 2 comprises: a gas flow quantity measuring part 12 for measuring the quantity of flow of gas; a registration storage means 16 for storing flow quantity patterns to be compared with the types or use forms of previously applied gas appliances; a housing part 23 for freely detachably housing the registration storage means 16; an appliance determination means 24 for determining the gas appliances used or their use forms by comparing the flow quantity patterns of the registration storage means 16 with values of the quantity of flow of gas measured at the gas flow quantity measuring part 12; and an appliance-by-appliance monitoring means 21 for monitoring the status of use for every previously classified item according to services provided by gas providers. The registration storage means 16 is replaced by the gas providers according to an application of alteration from users, and the replacement is made after passing a prescribed authentication flow.
