PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a spectrometer for generating X rays which make it possible to generate X rays that are excellent in parallelism. SOLUTION: The spectrometer 30 where a first crystal plate 31 and a second crystal plate 32 are laid out at a prescribed angle is assumed. Bragg diffraction of white and nonparallel X rays 21 generated from a main body 10 of an X-ray generator is conducted by the first crystal plate 31 to convert them into parallel X rays 40 and 41. The second crystal plate 32 turns the parallel X rays 41 into an outgoing parallel X rays characterized by anglesα.
