PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment apparatus for water (waste water) or sludge containing ions in liquid which can satisfy both removal and recovery of materials to be removed, and stably recover crystals with high purity. SOLUTION: A liquid cyclone and a crystallization reactor for adding chemicals to the water or sludge containing ions in liquid to deposit crystals are installed in the treatment apparatus. The liquid cyclone is equipped with a feed pipe A for feeding sludge from the crystallization reactor into the liquid cyclone, a return pipe B for returning a part of or the whole of crystals concentrated by the liquid cyclone, and a return pipe C for returning a part of treated sludge flowing out from the overflow pipe of the liquid cyclone to the feed pipe A for sludge. A washing pipe D for supplying washing water is connected to the feed pipe A or to the return pipe C, and a recovery pipe E for discharging a part or the whole of the concentrated crystals is connected to the return pipe B. It is desirable that valves are installed in these pipes respectively, and that a control mechanism for controlling the opening and closing of the valves. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
