METHOD OF DESIGNING GAS-SOLID SEPARATOR

A solid-gas separator constructed from a vertically extending inner tube (10) having a closed lower end (11) and an open upper end (1), and from an outer tube (2) coaxially covering the inner tube (10) from the outside and having a gas vent (6) located on the upper end side of the inner tube and communicated with the outside. Circumferentially arranged axially extending long holes (4) are formed in a side face of the inner tube (10), on its lower end (11) side, and guide blades (5) are each arranged at the edge of one long side of a long hole (4), projected outward, and inclined to the circumferential direction so as to cover the long hole (4). When a mixture of gas and solid particles descending in the inner tube has an average linear speed in its cross-section in the range of 3-30 m/s, the gas-solid separator is designed such that the cross-sectional average linear speed of the mixture discharged from the long holes is not more than 20 m/s and the cross-sectional average linear speed of the gas ascending between the outer tube and the inner tube, in portions where the long holes are formed, is not more than 6 m/s.
